BREAKING: Most Dangerous Veil Crossing In Recent History

Statement from Prose, Leader of Aurora Hallow

Last week, the first Fawns crossed the Veil since Willow and Fawnifer over a year ago—and something both curious and dangerous occurred.

Two brave Fawns, Rosie and Eloise, were sent to humans bound by an unusually strong friendship. This bond introduced a complication we did not foresee. The Fawns' minds began to meld, a rare and perilous form of magic.

The Crisis

With their thoughts entangled, both Fawns experienced confusion that deepened into delirium. For a time, we did not know if they would survive it.

The crossing of the Veil is never without danger, and every Fawn knows this. What we did not foresee was this particular form of magic.

Rosie was the first to arrive home with her human. She awoke believing she was Eloise.

The Recovery

But Fawns are strong, and their training is extensive. Rosie fought for her life, and in time, her true self returned. Shortly after, Eloise too reclaimed her own mind.

Both Fawns are now home, safe with their humans.

The Council's Response

Still, we will not allow this incident to pass without learning from it. The Meadow Council will convene this evening to ensure such a crossing never occurs again.

My thoughts—and Aurora's prayers—are with Rosie, Eloise, and the humans who stood beside them through these frightening days.

This was a deeply unsettling event for Rosie's human, and for all of us in the Hallow. We hold them close in our hearts.
