If I had to pick, I have 1 big goal in life.

And that's to help billions of children grow up with sound emotional health.

The reason this is my goal is because I have experienced emotional turmoil for most of my life and it is really painful.

I’m not talking about the ups and downs of emotions, ranging from deep grief to great happiness. I’m talking about the complete loss of appetite, ambition, and control that comes from a nervous system in disrepair.

I believe every person deserves emotional well being, but so many of us get on the wrong track as children because we needed an extra kind of support that wasn't there.

It's not our parents' fault. The vast majority are doing their very best. When parents don't provide something their child needs, it's because they didn't know it mattered or they couldn't make it happen. And so few parents are taught how to help their children develop emotional health. It's not because they don't care.

I know because I lived without the support. I developed a nervous system that ruled my life with great negative consequence. And I’ve experienced emotional peace; living the content, blissful, and productive life we’re all capable of having.

Now, I certainly don't think this is the only goal that matters in life. I also want to:

  • Climb the Beckey Chouinard Route in the Bugaboo Mountains

  • Spend months travelling Asia and Africa

  • Build a house with a library and read peacefully for months

But above all else, the thing that means the most to me is this. It's how I think I can best contribute to the world.

If your child has a major life aspiration that you're trying to help them with, shoot me a message. I'd love to find a way to help.
